Participation Account is the type of account opened with a minimum maturity of 1 month that allows for the distribution of yield at the end of maturity within the scope of the profit-loss partnership.

  • Participation Account is the type of account that allows for the distribution of yield within the scope of the profit-loss partnership between the account holder and Emlak Katılım. The funds collected in Participation Accounts are used in financing trade, industry and service sectors in line with the principles of interest-free banking.
    • The accounts can be opened in TRY, USD and EUR with a minimum maturity of 1 month.
    • Profit sharing rates vary by account types.

Participation Account is based on sharing of the profit and loss from the projects financed by the Bank. These accounts don’t have any predetermined, committed or guaranteed yield.

Features of the Participation Accounts

  • This is not applicable to Active Accounts with Interim Profit Share Payment.
  • Participation Account features profit-loss partnership, enabling you to achieve returns in line with interest-free banking principles. The funds you deposit are utilized in financing areas such as trade and industry in accordance with interest-free principles, and a certain portion of the generated profit is distributed to the account holders.
  • Participation Account allows you to utilize your TL or F/X investments at the rates and terms most suitable to you.
  • You can open your Participation Account in TL, EUR, USD, XAU and XAG with a term of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
  • If you wish, you can alternatively open a “Flexible Term Participation Account.”
  • When you need, you can withdraw money from your Participation Account at Emlak Katılım without terminating the term and receive your profit share at maturity over the remaining amount.
