Saver Accounts
Saver Accounts: a type of participation account designed for those wishing to make long-term investments with small savings. This account, which can be opened for a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 10 years, allows for payments to be made at monthly or quarterly intervals.
Features
- A minimum of 500 TL, 100 US dollars or 100 euros is required to open an account.
- Payments are made via payment instructions you provide from your current accounts.
- The amount specified in the instruction can be updated.
- The minimum payment amounts that can be made per period are 100 TL or 50 USD/EUR.
- It is possible to make a lump-sum deposit when opening an account.
- You may skip a payment a maximum of 5 times.
- You may make up to 3 withdrawals before the maturity date, or withdraw up to 50 per cent of the principal.
- Should these terms be breached, 50 per cent of the gross profit shares accrued up to that date will be reclaimed from the customer.
- The total of special current accounts and participation accounts is guaranteed by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund up to 1,200,000 TL (one million two hundred thousand TL) for both individuals and legal entities
