SWIFT transactions are typically completed within 1 to 3 business days, depending on the recipient bank, the country to which the transfer is made, the currency, and the correspondent banks through which the transfer passes.
Transfer instructions can be submitted on weekends or public holidays. However, transactions are processed and completed on bank business days.
The transaction fee applied to international foreign currency transfers is determined based on the transfer’s characteristics, currency, transaction amount, the country where the recipient’s bank is located, and the policies of the correspondent banks through which the transfer passes. The fee is calculated based on the bank’s current fee and commission schedule. You can obtain detailed information about commission amounts by visiting your nearest branch.
Correspondent bank fees are service charges collected by intermediary (correspondent) banks that facilitate international money transfers (SWIFT). During an international currency transfer, the payment may be processed through one or more correspondent banks, and these banks may apply transaction fees based on their own fee schedules. The amount of the correspondent bank fee may vary depending on the country where the transfer is made, the currency, the correspondent banks used, and the transfer route. How the fee is shared among the sender, recipient, or both parties is determined by the OUR, SHA, or BEN fee options selected in the transfer instruction.
OUR, SHA, and BEN are fee codes that determine who will cover the charges in international money transfers (SWIFT). These codes indicate to banks whether the transfer fee will be charged to the sender, the recipient, or both.
OUR (Sender Pays): The sender covers all intermediary bank and SWIFT fees upfront—including their own bank’s fees—to ensure the full amount reaches the recipient. The recipient receives the full amount net of fees.
SHA (Shared/Joint): The sender pays only their own bank’s outgoing fees. Any intermediary and correspondent bank fees on the recipient’s side are deducted from the transferred amount, so the recipient receives a portion of the funds short.
BEN (Recipient Pays): All fees charged for the transfer (sender and intermediary bank fees) are deducted from the amount credited to the recipient’s account. The sender does not pay any fees for the transaction.
Yes. The SWIFT code and the BIC (Bank Identifier Code) are both international bank codes that identify the same bank.
You can track the status of your SWIFT transfer through online banking, the mobile app, or at our branches. If necessary, our branches can also provide you with transaction details.
Transfer instructions provided with incorrect or incomplete information may be delayed, rejected, or result in additional fees. Therefore, you should verify the accuracy of the recipient’s information before making a transfer.
