
Dowry Account
This is a participation account that provides state support to customers who save for at least three years with the aim of getting married, on condition that they enter into their first marriage by the age of 27 at the latest.
Features
- A Dowry Account is a savings participation account denominated in Turkish lira (TL) that can be opened for a minimum term of three years, entitles the holder to a profit share each year, and benefits from state support.
- The payment frequency can be set as monthly or quarterly.
- The payment amount ranges from a minimum of 1,804.57 TL to a maximum of 18,045.98 TL for the monthly payment plan, and from a minimum of 5,431.78 TL to a maximum of 54,138.17 TL for the quarterly payment plan. These amounts are increased annually by the revaluation rate determined and announced in accordance with the Tax Procedure Law No. 213 dated 4 January 1961, based on the previous year’s figures.
- A customer may not open more than one Dowry Account.
- A Dowry Account cannot be opened as a joint account.
- A Dowry Account may be transferred between banks in a manner that does not result in the participant losing any entitlements.
- Payments are debited from the current account at the specified intervals. A Dowry Account may be opened on behalf of persons under the age of 18 by their parent or guardian.
- The Dowry Account is opened with a profit-sharing ratio of 95/5.
State-Contribution Conditions
- Making regular payments into the account for at least three years prior to the date of marriage,
- Entering into their first marriage before reaching the age of 27,
- Not missing more than three payments in a period if the participant has chosen the monthly payment plan, or more than one payment in a period if they have chosen the quarterly payment plan,
- Not having made more than two withdrawals from the dowry account in a period,
- Should regular payments be missed, the right to receive the state contribution will not be acquired.
Dowry Account Application
- Our customers can open a Dowry Account through our branches.
- Turkish citizens or persons falling within the scope of Article 28 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901 may open a Dowry Account at banks.

Dowry Account Payment Plan:
The lower limit for regular monthly payments is 1,854.57 Turkish Lira, and the upper limit is 18,045.98 Turkish Lira. Where payments are made in accordance with a quarterly payment plan, the State contribution is calculated as follows, based on the periods during which the participant makes regular payments into the dowry account:
